BT has teamed up with video podcasting firm Podshow to launch a UK version of the popular US broadcast site.
BT PodShow is now looking for media production companies and record labels to share their video and audio content on the site.
However, the site is also on the look out for members of the public from across the UK who are aspiring film producers, musicians, presenters and DJs to appear online in their own productions.
The best entries will feature on 'The Show' section of the website and could also appear on the BT Vision broadband television service.
"Podcasting really does illustrate the power of broadband," said Gavin Patterson, managing director at BT Consumer.
"What is great about it is that all you need is a way to record audio or video, a computer and an internet connection."
Viewers will be able to watch BT PodShow content on any connected device, including PCs, mobile phones, TVs and media devices such as Video iPods.
