The Badtrans virus returned with a vengeance, accounting for half the total incidents discovered in November. Despite the fact that the Badtrans.B virus is a variant of the original Badtrans, it still exploits an old security hole in Internet Explorer for which a patch has been available for some time. Other viruses, such as Aliz ands Klez, have followed suit and attacked similar vulnerabilities.
