The highly controversial Manhunt 2 may be on the backburner following a string of complaints, but a far more sedate title from Rockstar Games is about to make its way onto Nintendo's Wii.
Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis made its debut in May 2006 on Microsoft's Xbox 360 and was a runaway success, garnering huge critical acclaim and winning Gamespot's Best Sports Title at E3 in 2006.
The Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Leeds in collaboration with Rockstar San Diego.
"Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version," said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer at Rockstar Games.
"By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilising the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."
Although no firm release date has been set, the game is due out later this year.
