Canon has unveiled new customisation tools and integration features for its range of enterprise document scanners.
Developers will be offered free access to a software development kit (SDK) for ScanFront 220 and 220 network scanners.
The machines boast user-friendly interfaces with 8.5in touch screens, and can scan at a claimed 26 pages a minute. They can scan directly to email, shared folders or USB memory, and offer remote scanner management features.
The new software will include a User Interface Customisation Tool to allow businesses to brand scanners by adding company logos and corporate colours to the display.
The tool also allows developers to create personalised log-ins and to capture vital meta-data information in order to integrate the devices with enterprise content management systems.
The SDK will be available to customers through Canon's Business Solution Developer Programme which provides developer tools for Canon's Business Solutions devices.
