In brief: Informatica betas PowerCenter to manage data marts centrally

Informatica has started beta testing version 1.0 of its PowerCenter software, which enables users to network their data marts together and manage them from a central location. The product includes a Global Data Mart Repository, which stores metadata from each of the data marts and provides customers with a single view of the organisation's data. PowerCenter will ship in the first quarter of next year.
