SCO Group has announced that its proposal to ditch its official corporate name, Caldera International Inc, was approved by the company's shareholders at a meeting held last Friday.
The company will henceforth trade under the name SCO Group Inc.
The name change will be reflected on the Nasdaq stock market from the start of trading today (Wednesday).
However, the change is not expected to alter SCO's standing among Linux users, where its name is still mud.
