The big hit with V3.co.uk readers this week was the prospect of a price war, after Tesco announced plans to sell the iPhone in its Mobile stores this Christmas. The Apple device also featured in two more of our top 10 stories this week, after the author of the first iPhone worm was given a job at a software company, and the emergence of new malware that could turn the handset into part of a botnet.
Other popular items included insurance companies using Facebook to investigate claims, and the latest in our Top 10 countdowns which looked at the also-rans in the annals of IT.
Security news was popular too, particularly the climate research centre email hack, a new zero-day IE warning from Microsoft, and the embarrassing server break in at Symantec.
Readers were also keen to read our review of Sony's Vaio X Series laptop.
