Microsoft has updated the beta version of Internet Explorer 9 just one week after releasing a new Platform Preview of the upcoming browser.
The company has issued two separate IE9 beta updates, one providing stability fixes and a second addressing issues with the user feedback tool on 64-bit machines with Windows-Live-Essentials 11.
Microsoft stressed that the updates do not constitute a new beta release, and apply only to users with the IE9 beta.
The IE9 beta was released in September, and was the first build of Microsoft's forthcoming browser that the general public were encouraged to download and try out.
The software shows off the new user interface, unlike the developer-focused Platform Previews.
Key features set for IE9 include a new minimalist user interface and HTML5 and CSS3 support.
Customers with Automatic Updates enabled will not need to take any action, as the updates for IE9 beta will be downloaded and installed automatically, Microsoft said.
