The self-proclaimed biggest Star Wars fan in the world has already started queuing for the next film in the series due to be released in five months' time.
Jeff Tweiten began his vigil outside Seattle's Cinerama Theatre on 1 January and has vowed to keep his place in line until the film opens on 19 May. Tweiten performed similar feats of endurance for the last two Star Wars films.
He is chronicling his wait in a blog and seems ready to stick it out for 139 days, although he says he is concerned about the weather. The blog can be seen here.
Local shops and businesses are allowing him the use of toilet facilities, and friends are bringing him food.
He invites those interested to contact him at superfan1138@hotmail.com. 1138 is the number George Lucas includes in all of the Star Wars films after THX 1138, his first movie.
