The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has agreed a deal with video mobile phone operator 3 to broadcast match highlights to subscribers' phones.
Subscribers to 3 will be able to receive three news bulletins a day, four key interviews and an end-of-play highlights programme sent direct to their handset. There is also a free texting service for instant match results.
AELTC marketing director Rob McCowen said in a statement: "One of the club's objectives has always been to bring the excitement of Wimbledon to as wide an audience of fans as possible, be it on TV, radio, the internet and now video mobile.
"We are delighted that - for the first time, thanks to our association with 3 - fans will now be able to watch Wimbledon highlights on their mobile phones."
Video clips cost 25p to view, and the end-of-day roundup costs 50p. For £5 a month, 3 subscribers can access sports coverage from Wimbledon, Sky Sports news, next season's Premiership and UEFA Champions League football, and the Open Golf Championship in Troon.
