UK sales tracking organisation Chart-Track has reported that the new Xbox 360 is outselling the competition.
The £270 version of Microsoft's games console is outselling the £209 version that lacks 20GB of internal storage by a factor of two to one.
Shortages of supply have hurt sales, but not enough to stop it becoming the fastest selling console before Christmas.
"Xbox 360 edged ahead of Gamecube's launch week record, which is impressive when you consider that Nintendo's console retailed at under half the Xbox 360 price," said Chart-Track.
The sales have also shown up on the games software market, with 10 out of the 15 Xbox 360 launch titles appearing in the All Formats Top 40 chart.
The only non-360 new release to make the chart is Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones at number 29.

Impressive? Not really....
It *just* eclipsed the GC launch and sold waaay less than the DS/PSP at launch. 4+years after the GC launch, a product around the same price as the PSP sells less than half of that at launch, at christmas time... Stock supply is a major issue still, they are available now, but only scarcely.
