Japanese firm unveils £375,000 PC

Japanese manufacturer Zeus has come up with a range of jewel-encrusted PCs designed to break the bank.

The top-of-the-range model features a platinum-plated system peppered with diamonds that apparently depict astrological constellations.

Users who can afford the £375,000 price tag will not be too concerned about the relatively inexpensive technology under the bonnet.

Needless to say, the 3GHz E6850 Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB of DDR 2 memory and 1TB hard drive should provide ample performance, although no solid state drive version is planned.

Cheapskates may prefer the gold alternative, which comes with the same specs. At £280,000 this represents a saving of £95,000, more than enough to cover shipping costs from Japan, where both PCs are now available.
