3 launches price plans for big spenders

Mobile operator 3 has added three new price plans to its packages for customers who spend more than £20 a month.

All three plans offer a number of voice minutes and texts sent to any network under a 12-month contract.

Talk and Text 200 gives users 100 voice minutes and 100 texts for £20 a month. Talk and Text 600 offers 500 voice minutes and 100 texts for £30 a month, and Talk and Text 900 comprises 750 minutes and 150 texts for £40 a month.

The company has also launched Video Value, a service giving unlimited video clips for £10 a month, or £5 per month for customers who sign up for the new tariffs, from the following services: sports, comedy, showbiz, movies, news, weather, horoscopes and game rental.

Bob Fuller, chief executive at 3, said in a statement: "As the fastest growing network and the fastest to a million customers, 3 will challenge for every customer that spends more than £15 a month.

"We have proved that there is strong consumer demand for our service. Today's announcement demonstrates that we can deliver an unbeatable product at an unbeatable value."
