NetSuite's ERP suite is now available as an iPhone app

On-demand business software firm NetSuite today launched an ERP app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, offering users access to business-critical information on-the-go.

NetSuite for iPhone, available now free of charge from the App Store, provides users with access to the firm's integrated business management suite, which includes dashboards and reports; customer, sales, and financial data; and calendar management functionality.

Real-time dashboards enable users to drill down and explore KPIs, report snapshots, trend graphs, scorecards, reminders, and recent records, while productivity enhancing click-to-call, click-to-email and click-to-map features make full use of the iPhone's native capabilities, said the firm.

"This is a natively built iPhone application, so the way it performs and the way you drive it are exactly the same as the way you use any other app on the iPhone," said European director of professional services, Toby Davidson.

"It's about giving business-critical information in a format that's easily visible, and because it has been built from the ground up, it's a very quick and efficient application."

In addition, if a company has already implemented custom fields, custom records, role-based security or custom dashboard elements in their NetSuite account, these will all be reflected in their NetSuite app, said the firm.
