Social networking site Facebook is planning to let other developers create services for its website.
The new services would run on special pages within the main site and could be shared by the site's users.
However, Facebook said that it does not currently plan to share any advertising revenues gleaned from the new services with the companies developing them.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Facebook will smash the $38m funding it has received so far by generating almost $150m revenue in 2007.
The site claims to have doubled its user base to more 23 million in the past six months, adding 100,000 users a day. Facebook claims more than 3.5 million users in the UK.

Facebook Marketing Lists
I am currently working with the Truste + Facebook to allow complete control over your personal information. At present, Facebook does not allow you full and complete control over changing your information. Your name, and how it is displayed on Facebook. Employers are using Facbook to their advantage, and regardless on what Facebook says about not providing your information to 3rd parties, Facebook's subscribers now qualify in the eyes of the law as a Marketing list. They have been very stubborn in insisting people use their "real" names on facebook. Disabling accounts until a full name + ID is given with any fake names they find. The reasoning behind it is the value of an accurate Marketing list. File a complaint with your governing bodies. In Canada it's the Privacy Commissioner stating you MUST have complete control on how your information is used and displayed on facbook. Similar laws in regards to your information and how it is used in apply in the USA as well. I used to work in Marketing.
