The BBC has signed a deal with US broadcasting giant ABC to make a selection of its UK news clips available for download in North America.
Yesterday's agreement will give ABC access to 40 BBC news clips every day chosen by BBC news producers, according to Associated Press.
Covering the latest UK and world news, the content will be available for American internet and mobile phone customers to download via ABC's services in the US and Canada.
ABC has not disclosed pricing details, nor when the service will be made available. A spokeswoman said that the media firm is "still in the process of considering options".
