German authorities have warned iOS users not to visit untrusted sites following a recent vulnerability disclosure.
The country's Office of Information Security said that the flaw could allow an attacker to execute code on a targeted iOS device.
The problem was discovered and exploited by the iPhone Dev Team group as a way of remotely performing jailbreak procedures on iPhone 4 handsets.
There are no known attack sites targeting the threat, and the site which performs the unlock procedure clearly notifies users of its intention and requires approval before launching the process.
Germany has been active in warning of impending security risks, and was among the first to recommend that web users switch to an alternative browser when an Internet Explorer flaw fell victim to exploits earlier this year.
Apple, meanwhile, has told reporters that it is working on a fix for the flaw in its next iOS update. The company did not give a specific date for the update's release.
