Thin client vendor VXL Instruments has introduced a virtualisation-ready terminal pre-loaded with the latest version of VMware's View client at a price of just £114.
Available now, the Itona TC1330 includes VMware View 3.1 and Linux virtual desktops with its Sylph-OS operating system.
The compact unit is just 7.5in (19cm) high, and features low power consumption and a fanless design for quieter operation.
"The full-function Itona TC1330 is 15 to 20 per cent cheaper than the competition without any compromise on specifications, performance or build, and it comes with VMware View 3.1 pre-loaded to provide an instant virtualisation solution," said VXL sales vice president Frank Noon.
VMware View is VMware's universal client solution which provides access to virtual desktop machines running on VMware infrastructure.
The new thin client can be managed using VXL's XLmanage Workgroup edition suite, and is backed by a three-year warranty.
