Network storage firm Infortrend has released a new line of 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel storage systems.
The new F20 fibre-to-SATA and F60 fibre-to-SAS systems will be offered as part of Infortrend's Enterprise Scalable Virtualized Architecture (ESVA) storage line.
In addition to the increased speed benefits of the 8Gbit/s connection, the systems offer increased reliability and better security, according to the firm.
Infortrend is planning to target the new systems at high-demand and critical enterprise storage applications.
"We are providing the highest speed storage solution to our customers, and taking into serious consideration the importance of continuous uptime to ensure business continuity," said Thomas Kao, Infortrend product planning and global marketing director.
"Equipped with the latest 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel technology and comprehensive data protection functions, such as snapshot and replication, our ESVA storage solution provides an ideal choice to support the need for high performance combined with mission-critical data protection."
