"With RealNetworks' RealOne Mobile Player now available for the Tungsten C handheld, users will be able to download, store and play back audio content in MP3 and RealAudio formats, be it business news, music or corporate information," said Paul Osborne, senior product manager, Palm Solutions Group.
The RealOne Mobile Player is based on Helix DNA Client technology, a software engine that device manufacturers and software developers can use to build a multi-format media player for any device.
RealNetworks said it is working with the Helix Community and interested Palm operating system developers to make the Helix DNA Client available for the Palm OS 5 platform, which will enable other media applications to be developed for Palm OS 5-based devices.
