A woman teacher has been suspended for allegedly sending sexy emails to a pupil.
Police have launched an investigation and seized computer equipment from Gawthorpe High School in Padiham, Lancashire.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police told the BBC that the teacher has not been arrested, but said that family protection officers are investigating the case.
"An allegation of a sexual nature relating to inappropriate emails has been made about a member of staff at the school," said the spokesperson.
A statement issued by Lancashire County Council added: "A member of staff was suspended from Gawthorpe High School in June as the result of allegations which are now being investigated by the police.
"It is not possible to comment further while the police investigation is in progress."
