Microsoft buying Opalis was our top story this week

The big story with V3.co.uk readers this week was the news that Microsoft had bolstered its System Center products with the acquisition of Opalis. This was followed by the announcement of new touch-screen systems from Dell, and Facebook's about-turn on its friends list security settings.

Australia, meanwhile, is moving forward with its plans to filter web traffic, and readers were keen to read about a new free app that brings Bing search to the iPhone.

V3.co.uk would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the appropriate seasonal greetings, and a happy and prosperous new year.
