Olympus has extended its C-series of digital cameras with three revamped models, ranging from an easy-to-use entry-level model to one with single lens reflex (SLR) features.
The C-150 entry-level 2megapixel camera is a beefed up version of the camera maker's original C-120 model.
Priced at £140, it has a smaller body than the original but boasts digital zoom and other features such as autofocus and four built-in programs to simplify use for digital photography beginners.
For more experienced users, the C-350 digital zoom 3.2megapixel model takes over from the C-300.
Again, this new version is a revamped offering, with a smaller body that makes it easier to carry around. It will cost £250 but boasts a number of features including the ability to record short videos with the QuickTime Jpeg function.
Top of the range is the C-750 Ultra Zoom 4megapixel model. An upgrade of the C-730, this model will cost £500. It boasts a macro mode that lets snap-happy types get in really close without losing clarity.
The C-750 also contains a number of features usually found only on top-end SLR cameras, including customisable facilities such as aperture and shutter speeds.
The cameras will be in the shops in April.
