A recent V3.co.uk poll has revealed that most readers are unimpressed with Apple's new iPad tablet.
Apple launched the device to much fanfare last week, but reactions within the industry have been mixed.
An overwhelming 39 per cent of poll respondents selected the 'No, It's just an overpriced, oversized iPod Touch' option. In total, 55 per cent of V3.co.uk readers who responded had bad news for Apple, while just 43 per cent spoke up in its favour.
Perhaps more disappointingly for Apple is the finding that 26 per cent of these 'supporters' were cynical in their response, selecting the 'Yes, it's got the Apple logo so people will buy it' option.
Only a quarter of respondents said 'Yes, it's a brilliant piece of kit and worth the price'.
Four per cent indicated that the iPad will be a disappointment, and will not be "as good as rival tablets".
Meanwhile, some two per cent elected to leave comments such as: "It looks good, no USB so bad, but in the final analysis I will wait for the professional reviews."

28% is good response if you starting little company selling window curtins. For the brand like Apple its a bad sign. Because most will see that 71% said is not so good. I guess you like the Apple logo too. I do have one of Apple product because this single product in my view is good for the price. the rest doesn't intrest me. Well you see I can be critical even on stuff I like. There is the diference between profesional journalism review (no , not me) and fanboy dribble.

Try before you make judgement
I'm not saying that I will 100% buy or won't buy one. I think the iPad's true abilities are yet to be seen. The iPhone, spec wise has been crippled from the start, yet it's a better user experience and the lower spec does a better job than other competing phones. So really you poll means nothing, because none of those people have even seen or touched one.

how many..
...and how many of the people polled had used the iPad exactly? this is just crap journalism. If *you* had reviewed the product without every touching it, your editor would kick your arse. BUT if you ask the opinion of hundreds/thousands of people who have never used it... that's democracy in action? and that's news worthy? Think not.

Best to wait
I think I'll wait for rival devices as apple has set the technology bar pritty low with the ipad, disappointed!

WHy so against the iPad
I'm not sure what your point is. If I launched a new product and 26% of respondents thought it was 'brilliant'. I'd be very pleased. The article seems to be set on making a negative point where none exists
