An Australian woman who is believed to have been the world's oldest blogger has died aged 108.
Olive Riley had written some 74 entries to her Life of Riley blog. The entries ranged from accounts of her day-to-day life in Woy Woy, to stories from her childhood in the early 1900s.
Riley's blog was down as of Monday morning. A proxy blog maintained by Australian journalist Eric Shackle is still accessible.
"Olive Riley passed away peacefully on Saturday July 12," wrote Shackle. " She will be mourned by thousands of internet friends and hundreds of descendants and other relatives."
Shackle's own posting on the temporary blog logged more than 135 comments from Riley's readers.
Riley was taken ill in her nursing home on 10 June. Her last blog entry, entitled 'Settling In', was posted on 26 June.
"Penny, who's in the next bed to mine, had a visit one day this week from her daughter, who's a professional singer," wrote Riley.
"Guess what happened! She and I sang a happy song, as I do every day, and before long we were joined by several nurses, who sang along too. It was quite a concert!"
