Plug-in allows users of IBM WebSphere to search in corporate databases and desktops

IBM has released a free plug-in that makes its enterprise search technology accessible through the corporate edition of Google Desktop Search

The tool allows users of IBM WebSphere Information Integrator OmniFind Edition to search for information inside corporate databases and on desktop systems.

Google Desktop Search is a free tool that is currently in beta. It enables users to search several data sources on their computers, including text documents, previously visited web pages and emails.

The enterprise edition of Google Dekstop Search offers identical features to the consumer version, but comes with additional management and deployment tools. Enterprise-level support is available at a fee.
