The biggest story with vnunet.com readers this week has been a makeover for Facebook. The new design adds Twitter-like features to the site, and also lets users follow the movements of their favourite celebrities or particular organisations, potentially making it more viable as a business tool. Microsoft got a boost with the news that its flagship operating system has taken more market share in the internet access stakes, while it also fleshed out details on its next-gen Windows 7 and posted a new update for Vista SP2.
The Pirate Bay music piracy case has finally reached its conclusion, with the verdict expected next month. Many see this as a test case for the entertainment industry as a means of seeing how far it can go in the battle against illegal downloads.
