Enterprise search vendor Simplexo announced today that it has integrated its search functionality into Outlook, allowing business users to access enterprise content from a familiar interface.
The Simplexo toolbar can be added to Outlook so that enterprise users can search emails and content from a wide range of information sources, including SharePoint, word processing documents, images, spreadsheets, databases, content management and CRM systems, and SAP applications.
"Simplexo lets you search from where you work," said chief executive Alistair Handyside. "With instant access to enterprise-wide information, Outlook users can improve decision making and service levels, and even reduce the headache of regulatory compliance and corporate governance."
The firm's flagship Simplexo Enterprise system trawls through unstructured, pre-indexed office documents and files, and structured content like databases, to provide results in real time, boosting productivity and business agility, the vendor said.
