The Infosecurity Europe show has attracted a few IT security problems, as well as some of the solutions.

An alleged hacker has been arrested at the show and a virus has attacked its network.

Lynn Htun, 24, alleged to be the head of hacking group Fluffi Bunni, was arrested by Scotland Yard detectives at the show.

According to an event organiser, one of a squad of six detectives visiting the show to talk to vendors recognised Htun talking to an exhibitor.

He was arrested on outstanding forgery charges and for the theft of a computer after failing to appear at Guildford Crown Court in 2000. He has been returned to Guildford and was remanded in custody.

The Fluffi Bunni hacking group was responsible for a string of attacks from June 2000, including hacking the websites of security companies and leaving images of its stuffed rabbit mascot and insulting messages.

A US official told Associated Press that Htun is wanted in the US in connection with a series of high-profile hacking cases blamed on Fluffi Bunni.

Investigators allege that Htun was the group's leader, the official said.

Meanwhile, the show's Ethernet network has come under attack from a Trojan called 'Deloader', first seen in the wild on 8 March.

The malware installs a backdoor on infected computers that allows remote access by the hacker. Exhibitors were notified this morning of the infection and advised on its removal.

"We have our own Ethernet network and for good reason," said Etienne Greeff, professional services director at MIS Corporate Defence Solutions.

"With this many security professionals gathered together, all with the latest hardware and software, a virus was not going to be unexpected. It's a common problem in hotels and airports too."

This year's Infosecurity has been one of the best attended in years, with over 3,000 visitors on the first day and companies from 55 countries represented at the show.
