Computing giant HP today launched a range of new notebook PCs and monitors designed to provide creative professionals with improved picture quality for mobile working.
The EliteBook 8730w Mobile Workstation features HP's DreamColor technology in a 17in diagonal display, which offers over 16 million colours. The notebook also features an Intel quad-core processor, 8GB of memory and Nvidia Quadro FX cards with up to 1GB dedicated video memory, said HP.
The EliteBook 8530w and EliteBook 8530p laptops each feature a 15.4in diagonal display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 8GB of memory, as well as professional graphics capbilities, making the devices suitable for power users in industries such as design and engineering, according to HP.
The 8730w is due for release later this month, priced around £850. The HP EliteBook 8530 series is expected in September, priced from £750.
HP also announced new widescreen monitors for workstation users, including the LP2475w 24in Widescreen LCD Monitor and the HP LP2275w 22in Widescreen LCD Monitor. The LP2475w has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200, while the LP2275w has a resolution of 1,680 x 1,050.
“HP is delivering on creative professionals’ most exacting computing needs by enabling power users to take their highly-tuned graphics workstations with them wherever they go,” said Stephen Dewitt, senior vice president of HP's Personal Systems Group.
