A technical error on the O2 website has apparently revealed pricing details for iPhone 3G pay-and-go options.
Details were posted on Wednesday evening showing that the 8GB and 16GB models carry respective price tags of £299.99 and £359.99 on any pay-and-go deals.
O2, the official iPhone operator in the UK, removed the details on Thursday and has since failed to confirm or deny the prices for Apple's next-generation phone for non-contract customers.
If the details are true, the deals compare favourably with the original iPhone which cost £269 with a £35 monthly contract.
The cheapest iPhone 3G contract is expected to cost £30 per month, with an additional £99 payment for the handset.
This may make the new phone an attractive option for customers looking for a pay-as-you-go deal.
Such customers will also get six months' worth of unlimited web browsing for free, although a £10 monthly charge will apply thereafter.

WHAT! Why do people think this is good!!!!!
I can see what some people meen, that the price is not to bad, commpaed to some phones, but being even more expensive than the iPhone tied to a contract last year is quite shocking, especially since the price has suposedly been dropped. Its not as if its easy To unlock the iPhone like other phones, so its not as if it needs to be so tightly secured to 02
