A New Approach to Managing the Email Deluge
One thing the video fails to cover is, that email is often used for the wrong things, which contributes to the email deluge. Email is used for collaborative purposes - working together on files, assigning and tracking tasks, having discussions and arriving at a consensus. In this case, a single mail evokes a torrent of responses, with everyone talking to everyone. True, emails are a permanent record, but often it becomes tremendously difficult to find the right information in the email pit. moreover, any potential learning this information might have had is buried deeper and deeper. the key is to use the right tools for the right things, and evidently, email is not the right tool for everything. James Gaskin will present a free webinar on this on the 28th of May if anyone is interested. We also did a whitepaper on the subject which one could find here -http://www.hyperoffice.com/business-email-overload/
