Vodafone is hoping to woo SMEs by offering a BlackBerry Enterprise Service Express product for £10 a month to customers.
The firm said that the product would give its BlackBerry customers the ability to securely access email, organiser and other enterprise applications on its network, and that businesses that sign up from 17 May can get the service for £5 a month for the first three months.
Vodafone's enterprise marketing director, Peter Boucher, said the firm was introducing the new service to provide firms of all sizes with the ability to access important information, irrespective of location.
“We know it’s vital for all businesses to stay connected to their customers wherever they are, either by voice or email, and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express gives SMEs the advantage of being able to do this from their BlackBerry smartphones," he said.
Vodafone is also offering a managed support service for an additional £2.50 a month to ensure that business users can receive ongoing support from BlackBerry- and Microsoft-accredited specialist teams for the duration of their contracts.
SMEs can also pay a one-off cost of £400 to have the service installed by a fully trained BlackBerry specialist and then monitored for 10 days before management is handed over to Vodafone's BlackBerry Enterprise Service Express support team.
