HP has announced new BladeSystem Matrix templates that will integrate with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V to simplify computer environments and increase efficiency.
HP said the new templates will allow customers to allocate server, storage and networking resources instantly according to workload demands.
The templates, HP said, will help firms avoid a situation where under-utilised servers are taking up more space and resources than can be justified by their workload.
Both the Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and Windows Server 2008 R2 were released in recent months.
The former is a messaging and collaborative software product that includes email, support for data storage, conferencing and contacts, while the latter is a server operating system that can be virtualised when combined with Hyper-V.
In a separate move, Microsoft will also release services for the two products.
HP Services for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 will offer customers workshops to plan the transition to the product from previous versions.
HP Services for Windows Server 2008 R2 is designed to help customers implement virtualisation and private cloud deployments.
