3M has introduced a pocket-sized projector that weighs just 160g, but can display images from a laptop or from Flash storage, making it easier for mobile professionals to give presentations practically anywhere.
Available immediately, the MPro 150 Pocket Projector builds on the features of the MPro 120 launched last year, but adds 1GB of built-in storage and a slot for 2GB microSD cards from which it can display PowerPoint or PDF presentations, plus Word, Excel and image or video files directly.
Although measuring only 130mm x 60mm x 24mm, the device can produce images from VGA up to 1,280 x 800 pixels up to 50in in size at 15 lumens brightness using an LED light, so there is no light bulb to replace, according to 3M.
As well as shipping with VGA and RCA cables for video input, the MPro 150 includes a USB cable for connection to a computer and a tripod stand. Optional accessories include an adapter for the Apple iPhone and a car charger.
The MPro 150 Pocket Projector has a rechargeable lithium polymer battery with a life of two hours, and costs £349.99. Details of where to buy are on the 3M web site.
