A Japanese civil servant has been fined and demoted after viewing a staggering 780,000 pornographic websites over a nine-month period.
The 57 year-old official from Kinokawa in southern Japan, who has not been named, had been viewing 10,000 pages a day, or 20 every minute, at the peak of his activity.
An official explained that the inappropriate surfing had gone unnoticed since the employee was seated apart from other staff who could not see what was on his screen.
He was only found out after he picked up a computer virus and technical support examined his browsing history.
The civil servant has been demoted and has had his pay docked by $190 a month.

Oh come on. No one looks at a web page every 3 seconds for 9 months in a row (a quarter million pages?). Someone needs to learn how to read and interpret logs, and report them correctly. Perhaps there's that many links in the logs, but to say he visited 780000 web pages is sensationalistic.
