Network security company SonicWall has extended its range of unified threat management firewalls, designed to provide small and medium sized firms with enterprise-class anti-spam and security functionality.
The TZ 200, TZ 200 Wireless-N, TZ 100, and TZ 100 Wireless-N include productivity features such as automatic 3G and analogue failover, application identification, bandwidth management, Secure Sockets Layer virtual private network remote access, wireless switch controller, and an integrated 802.11n secure access point.
The range also offers integrated anti-virus, anti-spyware, intrusion prevention, enforced client anti-virus and content filtering capabilities, along with throughput speeds 2.5 to 3.5 times faster than previous SonicWall products, according to the firm.
All models feature a new anti-spam service designed to filter Simple Mail Transfer Protocol email traffic to remove spam, phishing threats and malware-laden emails.
"The combination of increasing malware sophistication, and the prevalence of social media usage, puts your network's security, productivity and cost structure under pressure," said Patrick Sweeney, vice president of product management at SonicWall.
"Yet small and medium sized businesses and distributed enterprises cannot solve the problem with a dozen different solutions."
