Nltye has launched a performance management suite that offers insights into key performance indicators for datacentre managers.

Nlyte 6.0 provides information on power, cooling and space that the company claims will reduce operating expenses and extend datacentre life.

Rob Neave, co-founder and product manager at Nlyte, said that the new features allow datacentre managers to meet a growing demand for increased capabilities.

"With analysis you can better provision your resources, understand what is going on inside the datacentre and ensure that customers are charged the correct amount for power and any Carbon Reduction Commitment charges or savings," he said.

The tool includes a dashboard application to customise the layout of widgets such as maps and charts and choose how the data is presented.

Nlyte Report allows staff to schedule, analyse, manage and distribute reports to relevant staff members on equipment, forecasts, power use and network cabling among others.

"You can set permission levels to ensure that only those with the relevant authority can see certain information, from executives to operational staff," said Neave.

Nlyte Predict, meanwhile, allows customers to forecast and model future datacentre capabilities based on predictions.

"This can be used to see if and how a new customer could be housed in the datacentre, and whether the facility can handle the demand they are likely to generate," explained Neave.

The software can export information to third-party data management applications from the likes of SAP and IBM to widen the options for day-to-day analytics. Pricing is based on a case-by-case basis.
