Business Objects has upgraded its OnDemand software to allow customers to consolidate their on-demand and on-premises application data.
New content creation and development capabilities will let customers share reports and dashboard data from throughout their organisation to give them a complete view of their business activities, said firm, which is now part of enterprise apps giant SAP.
"Today we are giving customers a powerful solution to make all information accessible to all people on-demand, regardless of where it comes from, giving people the insight they need to thrive during the economic downturn," said Mani Gill, Business Objects OnDemand Solutions vice president.
New data exploration technology allows users to type in a keyword to find the data required for a particular report, then makes it immediately available within the data warehouse.
Also, an added accelerator for Salesforce.com CRM will enable customers to build a data warehouse with Salesforce data, and then analyse and report on the data in a matter of days, according to the vendor. Customers will be able to add data from other on-demand or on-premises sources.
