Dell may be due to show off a new Android-based tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month, according to reports.
Pocket Lint suggested that Dell is readying a tablet, which will apparently have a 5in screen. Details are scant, but it looks likely that the unit will ship in the UK first before moving to the US.
A call to Dell's UK press office to try to confirm the rumours met with a standard "We don't comment on speculation" response.
Dell created a new business unit last week with a responsibility for mobile and other portable devices, and has recently launched a new ultraslim laptop for business users and laid its claim to the world's smallest fully-specced desktop PC.
"The death of the commercial desktop has been greatly overstated. We are seeing customers look to deploy small form factor systems in ways never before imagined," said Mike Basore, senior marketing manager of Dell's Business Client group.
