Finjan is targeting companies with mobile workers and remote offices

Web security firm Finjan has announced two solutions designed to offer access to a range of new "borderless" security tools for companies and their managed services providers.

Finjan Vital Cloud and Finjan Vital Hybrid Cloud will help organisations to tighten security both in-house and in the cloud, according to Finjan, and are expected to appeal to companies with a number of mobile workers and remote offices.

"Finjan Vital Cloud and Finjan Vital Hybrid Cloud are the first cloud security solutions extending on-premise unified web security into the cloud," said David Reichman, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Finjan.

"With these scalable solutions, it is easy to apply consistent security policies to users, regardless of their location. The mix of cloud and on-premise security allows each specific enterprise to have a tailored solution according to its needs.

"This minimises the total cost of ownership, while retaining policy control to the full extent and keeping minimum latency to ensure the quality of the end-user experience."

Finjan said that its solutions would protect against 'crimeware' and Web 2.0 attacks, and provide easy-to-understand central management. The cloud security tools offer a consistent policy across the board, ensuring that all areas of the business have the same levels of protection, according to the firm.
