Apple has unveiled a 1GB version of its iPod Nano portable digital music player.
The new player is the smallest Nano model available. Other Nano models offer a storage capacity of 2GB or 4GB.
The 1GB model is available now at $149. Prices for the 2GB and 4GB models remain unchanged at $199 and $249 respectively.
Apple has also lowered the price of its screen-less iPod shuffle. The 512MB model is now selling at $69 and the 1GB version at $99. The players were previously priced at $99 and $129 respectively.
Apple unveiled the iPod Nano in September together with the highly anticipated Motorola Rokr, better known as the iTunes phone. While the Rokr is considered a disappointment, the Nano received rave reviews.
