MSI has finally launched its super-slim MSI X400 notebook, which was originally due for release in July.
However, on first impressions the Vista and Intel Centrino processor-based device looks to be worth the wait.
The MSI X400 has a 14in HD widescreen display, HDMI, Bluetooth and wireless 802.11n connectivity.
It weighs in at 1.5kg, including battery, and measures 9mm thin. It is available in 'piano black' and 'pearl white'.
There are two versions of the machine. The X400-038UK comes with a 500GB HDD, an Intel SU3500 CPU and an external optical drive for £569. The X400-074UK, which will set you back £499, comes with a 320GB HDD, an Intel SU2700 CPU, but no optical drive.
It has 2GB of memory, a 2-in-1 card reader, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and MSI's 'Vivid Image Enhancement' technology that claims to "give more 3D expression". However, we would have traded the 3D expression for a greater expression of USB ports. Both models have only two.
