"Handango InHand for BlackBerry enables operators to tap customers' appetites for more than just email. With hundreds of downloads available, customers can personalise their BlackBerrys in a variety of ways," said Handango president and chief executive Randy Eisenman.
The client will allow operators and device manufacturers to make money from downloads such as software, games and ring-tones for BlackBerrys.
Software downloads for the BlackBerry range from ExpenseManager to track expenses, to games such as the popular Blackjack Buddy.
Handango said that InHand allows operators to streamline content delivery across all smartphones. The client is built on an XML data architecture which ensures efficient data transmission as well as the ability for operators to manage the data feeds in-house.
