High-performance and gaming hardware vendor Alienware will offer customers a barebones kit featuring the company's P2 desktop chassis for a limited period.
The Dell subsidiary said that the barebones kit comes in response to the large number of Alienware customers who have expressed a desire to obtain the chassis by itself.
"After listening closely to their feedback, we are giving our customers the flexibility of owning the sleek and stylish Alienware desktop chassis separately or as part of a complete Alienware desktop system, ensuring that the needs of all are met," said Marc Diana, desktop product marketing manager at Alienware.
The barebones kit consists of a P2 extended ATX desktop chassis with standard Astral Blue lighting and a 700-watt power supply unit.
The chassis has tool-less entry and easy-access front-side I/O ports, and is designed for optimal airflow.
Dell acquired Alienware for an undisclosed sum in March last year.
