IBM will follow up its x-Series Thinkpads by demonstrating, with Intel at Comdex, notebooks that use the chip giant's ultra low-power mobile processor designed to extend battery life.

Intel will also unveil the latest high-performance Pentium III processor-based mobile PCs, as well as demonstrate the Bluetooth wireless technology.

At the Intel Software Vendor pavilion on Monday through to Thursday, more than 60 software applications optimised for the Pentium 4 processor will be shown in action, and Intel's PC cameras and peripherals will be on parade Monday evening.
