HP has released a suite of products designed to help businesses manage and monitor their printing operations.
The HP MPS Smart Decision Suite (PDF) is the latest addition to the vendor's Managed Print Services, allowing administrators to view the status and activity of local printers.
The suite will sport an updated version of Jetadmin, a tool that allows administrators to configure and manage USB printers alongside network-connected machines.
HP also announced the release of three additional enterprise print management components alongside the Smart Decision Suite.
The company has teamed up with Research In Motion to develop HP ePrint, an application that allows BlackBerry users to access and print documents through business networks and HP's PrinterOn public printer network. FedEx will partner on the programme with its FedEx Office service.
HP Enterprise Production Print Solutions, meanwhile, is a collection of print management services ranging from document storage and archiving, to printing and distribution.
Finally, the company announced HP Exstream, a software platform designed to manage documents and data. The platform comprises a Command Center tool and an Application Manager to oversee data sharing and compliance.
