O2 has confirmed that the iPhone 3G will be available this month on a pay-as-you-go tariff.
The only UK mobile operator with the latest version of Apple's handset said that the iPhone 3G will be available without a monthly contract from 16 September through O2 outlets, Carphone Warehouse and Apple stores.
Launched in June this year, the iPhone 3G adds to the handset's existing features with support for high-speed mobile networks, built-in GPS for navigation, and a Cisco-compatible VPN for business customers.
The 8GB iPhone 3G for Pay & Go will cost £349.99, while the 16GB version costs £399.99.

IPHONE PRICE?gone up
Why is the price of the Iphone 3g more expensve then the original Iphone. When it made up of cheaper material (it has plastic covering at the back and not silver) so price should be cheaper. Also Steve Jobs promised that the price will be cheaper then the orignal it doesnt seem to be the case. In other countires the Iphone 3g is cheaper. It shouldnt be for 350 pounds. You can buy a laptop for that kind of price. This is a mobile phone and should be at a reasonble price of way less then 200 pounds. Like the orignal was for 269 pounds and then bought it down to 169. Keep it between those prices not higher then 270.
