BBM for Android

Easy-to-use messaging app with a host of useful features

Review Rating: rating

Type: Free for personal use only

Platform: Android

Manufacturer: BlackBerry Limited

Price: Free

BlackBerry Messenger is an instant and free messaging service which originated on BlackBerry devices. Though many of you may be familiar with the service, it has finally been made available on Android and iOS.

BBM is a very simple and extremely convinient, constantly availible for use and always connected. Theres no need to open an app to send or receive a message.

You can create your own profile, set or change your status. Text messages can be enhanced with a wealth of different emoticons and you can send photos, files and other documents. All of this can be done on a one-to-one or with a group of contacts.

After sending a message, you can see when it's been delivered and/ or read, and even when a contact is in the process of responding.
