Manufacturer: Adblock

Whilst browsing the web you'll constantly encounter adverts of some kind, not only are they incredibly annoying but they increase the loading time of most web pages. This is usually because the source of the ad is often located away from the page or site. Although it's virtually impossible to get rid of these ads completely, you may be able to block at least some of them by using an ad-blocking utility. Doing so may even speed up the time it takes particular websites and pages to load.

Adblock Plus is an addon designed to work with Firefox that enables you to prevent in-line annoying adverts from loading. Once the application has been installed, right click a particular advert and it will not be loaded again. You can also use the filter subscription to automatically prevent unwanted ads.
